It was with pomp and pageantry that the NHS AT 70 was celebrated in a special way and for the first time Nigerian Health Care Professionals in the UK were honoured too. The event took place at the Grange Hotel in London.
In attendance was the Nigerian Honourable minister for Health Prof. Isaac Adewole, as the special guest of honour representing the President.
The event was organised by Wendy Oyaliwole, DJ Abass, Mike Abiola and a very solid team.
This was to celebrate and recognize the great services rendered to the community by Nigerian Health care Professionals in the UK. They were given the accolades deserved. From Nurses , Doctors, Surgeons, Pharmacists etc. Every aspect of the medical service, none was left out.
Throughout the U.K. it was evident on the night that the contributions from Nigerian Health Care Professionals is immense. The event opened with the National Anthem and then speeches. After which it was time to present the awards. Going by the number of awards and the contributions to society, it was indeed a proud night not just for Nigerians but for the U.K. as a whole. The event continued into the night with lots of dancing and laughter. It was obvious when health care professionals leave the hospital environment, they also know how to have a good time. Congratulations to all the recipients.
