My real name is Oluwadamilare Odulana from Oyo state. I started music as a drummer boy in church and progressed gradually to what I am today. I always knew I was going to do music even before my early education. Initially, it was passion, I’m happy my passion made way and now pay my bills
I went to Bodija International School, and also attended Loyola college which was one of the best secondary schools in Ibadan. I proceeded to Federal University of Technology Akure(FUTA) to study Urban and Regional Planning, I served in a music studio in Lagos.

The creative industry has a typical challenge in this part of the world( Africa) and it’s our parents. I am the last child from a large family of 16, and my family had all eyes on me. My Dad who was an architect wanted me to follow his path, but I was bent on following my passion which has made me who I am today.
The Dre came from my name Damilare and because I started as a drummer, It was only natural for the sticks name to follow suit.
I’m a big fan of myself , I’m very emotional and the positive response I get from people motivates me. I’ve been to Mali, Benin Republic to study and understand thier music. Most of my shows has been within the shores of Africa. I’ve travelled business class to express my art. I’ve done jingles for politicians, Dino Melaye and the likes.
The song is a blessing, though it was an unplanned song but now it’s a proper hit track and it’s moving fast, the song is recorded in both Madagascar and Yoruba lamguage is spiritual, I made my findings before recording, Uwaza means God is the Ultimate, when you listen to the verses you will understand the true meaning of the song. it’s about friendship, patience and love.
My advise for anyone out there is to be You… You have to be true to yourself, be sure of what you really want to do, and once you decide, stick to it. I don’t believe in plan B , master your craft and be the best you can be.
I have and will continue to use my music and talent to employ people. As a music consultant and trainer, I have trained people on music production, sound engineering and issue certificates. I also do free master-classes to give back to the society.
I am happily married and my wife is a music lover. I’m a shy person. I love fashion, Its inborn.
