EDO APC PRIMARY: Court Sets March 14 For Hearing Of Idahosa’s Suit Challenging APC Governorship Primaries In Edo

The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice James Kolawole Omotosho, has fixed March 14, 2024, as the hearing date for the lawsuit filed by Hon. Dennis Idahosa, an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant in the Edo State governorship election.

Idahosa, represented by his counsel, Bode Olanipekun, SAN of Wole Olanipekun & Co., is seeking a declaration from the court that he should be recognized as the APC’s candidate for the Edo governorship election as he proof that he scored 40,453 votes in the primary election held on February 17, 2024, while Senator Monday Okpebolo, who was declared the winner, only secured 100 votes.

Justice Omotosho while granting Idahosa’s application made through his counsel, Bode Olanipekun, SAN of Wole Olanipekun & Co., directed service of the originating processes on Senator Monday Okpebolo, by delivering same to the Clerk of the National Assembly and/or to an adult person or official or secretary at the Senate chambers of the National Assembly, Three Arms Zone, Abuja; and/or delivering same to an adult person or official or secretary at the 2nd defendant’s office located at 40, Blantyre Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.
