On Sunday, the 14th of April, 2024, Obaseki ordered the ministry of road and bridges to demolish Shaibu’s security post along Adeyan road, GRA Benin City.
Some residents who spoke to srtv Correspondent said the action was uncalled for, as the security post had been there for years and they believe this demolition is an unnecessary excessive show of power. In the wake of the Exodus of PDP party members to the All Progressive Party (APC) this action was not seen as the best card to play.
Some people are worried as this action may have repercussions for the PDP Governorship candidate in the coming election.
