Cost of Living Crisis: Feed The Hungry Initiative.

The Edo State Government under the leadership of Governor Obaseki has initiated a comprehensive and impactful program called the Feed The Hungry Initiative to address food insecurity and support vulnerable populations in the state.

By providing one billion naira per month as a startup fund and targeting 60,000 vulnerable individuals, this initiative has the potential to make a significant difference in the lives of those in need. The collaboration with religious leaders and houses to implement the program is a strategic move to ensure the efficient and widespread distribution of resources to those who need it most.

Regular reviews with the government will help monitor the progress of the initiative, address any challenges that may arise, and make necessary adjustments to ensure its effectiveness. Overall, this initiative demonstrates a commitment to addressing poverty and food insecurity in a systematic and collaborative manner, and it has the potential to bring about positive change in the lives of many vulnerable individuals in the state.

The Initiative was launched at the St. Paul Catholic Church Chancery along airport road, Benin City. Present at the ceremony were Arch Bishop of the Catholic Church, Benin arch diocese, Chairman of CAN in Edo state, Chairman of PFN and representatives of the “five blocks” of the christain community/ denomination in Nigeria and Edo State.
