NFF Picks Former Football Player, Emmanuel Amunike as the New Coach of the Super Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has picked Emmanuel Amunike,who is a Nigerian professional football manager and former football player as the new coach of the Super Eagles after the contract of the former Coach Jose Peseiro was not renewed when it got expired in February.

Yesterday, the technical committee screened the list of candidates for the position and submitted it recommendation by picking three coaches for the board of the NFF to decide. The list had three foreign coaches but was shelved by the NFF after coming under huge pressure from people in high places.

The President of The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ibrahim Musa Gusau was keen on having a foreign coach for the team but has given into pressure and will officially announce Amunike as the new coach of the Super Eagles next week.
