The State House of Assembly at today’s Tuesday plenary screened and confirmed 17 local government secretaries out of 21 secretaries nominees earlier listed for possible screening and confirmation. 2 of the nominees were stepped down from Isoko South and Sapele, while the other 2 from Ika South and Ughelli South were asked to withdraw their curriculum vitae CV and bring the necessary information of their curriculum vitae CV before the end of today and appear for screening tomorrow wednesday.
The house dissolved itself into committee of the whole house in a motion moved by the Deputy majority leader Hon. Festus Okoh Chukwuyem member representing Ika South constituency, seconded by Hon. Bridget Anyafulu member representing Oshimilli South constituency and Chaired by the Rt. Hon. Speaker Guwor Emomotimi to screen the local government secretaries nominees for possible confirmation.
They were all introduced by member representing them in their various constituencies.

The deputy majority leader Hon. Festus Okoh Chukwuyem moved a motion for their confirmation, seconded by member representing them in their various constituencies.
Rt. Hon. Speaker Guwor Emomotimi thanked the Lawmakers for work well done and congratulated those confirmed as secretaries to local government.
Earlier the Rt. Hon. Speaker who presided over plenary announced the nomination of appointment of 2 local government secretaries from Aniocha South and Warri North.
The deputy majority leader Hon. Festus Okoh Chukwuyem moved a motion to receive the letter of nomination for appointment as secretaries to the 2 local government for further legislative consideration. Seconded by majority whip Hon. Odior Bernard member representing Isoko North Constituency.
