After Colloquium Incident Senate President Godswill Akpabio has addressed concerns about his health following reports that he collapsed after his birthday colloquium on Wednesday. Several media outlets reported on Thursday that the former Akwa Ibom governor had collapsed during the event and was subsequently taken to the National Hospital.
However, Akpabio clarified that he had experienced malaria and felt weak after the colloquium organized on Thursday to commemorate his 61st birthday in Abuja. Speaking to journalists in company of some his colleagues in Abuja on Friday, Akpabio stated that his condition was due to malaria and exhaustion .
