The Edo State Government has commenced the reaccreditation of over 6500 personnel of the State’s Security Vigilante Network (ESSVN). In a statement, the Coordinator of ESSVN, Col. Kole Omomia said the profiling and training will be held between Friday, February 2 and Sunday, February 4, 2034.
According to him, the reaccreditation exercise is only for trained vigilante operatives in the State. The statement reads: “Following Governor Godwin Obaseki’s directive, the Edo State Security Vigilante Network (ESVN) has started the reaccreditation and training of 6,500 ESVN operatives in the State.
“The profiling which commenced today, Friday, February 2, 2024, will hold as follows: “Friday: Oredo, 8-11am; Ikpoba-Okha, 12-2pm, and Egor, 3-5pm.” Omomia noted that on Saturday, February 3, 2024, the exercise will take place in Ovia North East between 9 and 11 am and Ovia South East from 1 to 3 pm.
The reaccreditation will end on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Uhunmwonde between 9 and11am and Orhiomnwon from 1 to 3 pm.
