1. All the 18 Local Government Area (LGA) Council Headquarters have been connected to the Edo State-owned fiber optics broadband network, spanning over 2000 km across the three senatorial districts. This integration establishes a unified government intranet, enabling local government staff to access the same resources as those in Benin City, thus enhancing Government service delivery to the public across the state.
The EdoGov platform, which automates government processes and eliminates paper use, signifies Edo State as the first in Nigeria to fully embrace e-Governance and achieve a paperless administration. As part of the current administration’s digital inclusiveness agenda, citizens visiting the local government headquarters can access free internet for personal and business use.
This service is unique to Edo State. Additionally, each LGA has been equipped with solar power to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 power supply to communication equipment only such that even if there is no primary power source or generator the communication equipment are still up and running providing internet services at location .
2. The fiber optics deployment also provides free WiFi in multiple locations within Benin City. Sixteen locations are currently operational, offering public WiFi that benefits business people, market traders, and students. Ongoing is an extension to all the tertiary institutions in Edo State.

Going on also are fiber Optics connection to 60 Primary heath care centers across the 3 senatorial district in Edo state .
