Yahaya Bello has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Due to the failure of the former governor’s appearance before the Federal High Court Abuja on Thursday for his arraignment over an alleged N84bn money laundering. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC urges Nigerians to report with useful information about the whereabout of the former governor, Yahaya Bello to any of the commission’s office or police station nearest to them.

The EFCC commission had earlier stated that it would, on Thursday, arraign the former governor before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja. This was after the anti-graft commission was granted a warrant of arrest to apprehend the former governor by the federal high court in Abuja.

Special Forces, Department of State Services, Police and other security agencies prevented the EFCC commission from apprehending the former governor Yahaya Bello at his Abuja residence. He was sneaked out of the building by the team of the current governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo.
